She was US actress and singer who has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and her breaking films including George White Scandals (1933), In Old Chicago (1938), and Fallen Angel (1945). She is remembered first for her stardom and then feud at 20th Century Fox and, later, as the radio comedy partner of her second husband, bandleader-comedian Phil Harris.
